Truck crash cause for power outage

More than 12,000 affected

More than 12,000 homes were without power earlier today because of a truck crash in Kleinburg this morning.

About 8,700 homes remain without power at this time, said Danielle Gauvin, spokesperson for Hydro One.

Ms Gauvin expects the lights to be back on in those homes after 5 p.m.

The power outage affected homes across the region and over into Orangeville.
