County, CUPE reach tentative deal

The County of Simcoe and the Canadian Union of Public Employees 5820 reached a tentative contract settlement yesterday.

The settlement is subject to ratification by both parties.

The union voted in favour of a strike nearly two weeks ago.

The employees in the union include administration, social services, museum and archives staff.
