Captain Domenic Monardo highlighted a five-point game with two goals and linemate David Morley also scored twice as the Aurora Tigers routed Upper Canada HC 10-2 Wednesday night in Ontario Junior Hockey League action at the Hershey Centre.
The victory enabled the Tigers (19-4) to move into a share for second place in the Phillips Division standings with the Huntsville Otters and within one point of the division-leading Couchiching Terriers.
Matt Pasztor had three assists and Lucas Van Natter had a goal two assists for Aurora.
The Tigers return to action Friday when the North York Rangers visit the Aurora Community Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
