Markham golfers made their presence felt on the links in the Canadian Junior Golf Association Junior Open at Timber Ridge Golf Club near Brighton last Wednesday.

Jonathan Lam finished second in the Boys 14-16 division, carding an 11-over par 153 (77-76). The 15-year-old finished eight shots behind Michael Nedoszytko of Toronto, who had a three-over par 145 (70-75) in the two-day event.

In Boys 13 and under, Brett Harvey of Unionville finished third after carding a two-round, 44-over par 186 (93-93).  

At the CJGA Kaneff Junior Series at Lionhead Golf in Mississauga Tuesday, Ronald Draycott finished third in the Boys 14-16 Division. The 16-year-old carded a seven-over par 79 in the one-day event, five shots behind winner Cory Racioppo of Toronto.

In Boys 17 to 19, Alex MacKenzie, 18, finished fourth with a 25-over par 97.
