City Youth Players presents Once On This Island, a musical based on the popular Hans Christian Anderson story of The Little Mermaid.

The play, which  captures elements of Romeo and Juliet, takes place in the unusual setting of the French Antilles in the Caribbean.

The award-winning play hits the  stage Dec. 4 to 7 at the Vaughan City Playhouse, 1000 New Westminster Drive.
