York Regional Police are looking for two men after a gunpoint robbery at a Thornhill convenience store Saturday.

At about 2:25 a.m., two men walked into the Mac’s convenience store at  Bathurst Street and Chabad Gate, south of Clark Avenue. One grabbed an item and took it up to the counter, while the second pointed a black handgun at a clerk, police said.

Both men kicked and bashed the clerk behind the counter, causing minor injuries, police said.

The men rifled the cash register, grabbed items from the counter and fled.

Police describe both robbers at black males, 17 to 25 years old, with medium builds and wearing black pants, black shoes and black hoodies, one with a colourful logo. One had brown eyes, a camouflage baseball cap and was carrying a black backpack. The other had a black baseball hat.
