The Vaughan Italia Shooters strengthened their hold on first place with a 1-0 win over the Windsor Border Stars in Canadian Soccer League action.

After a scoreless first half, the Shooters scored Kadian Leckie scored at 84 minutes.

The Shooters improve to 10-3-1 and have a five=point lead over second place Serbian White Eagles in the CSL’s International Divsision.

The Shooters play again Aug. 22 in Mississauga against Toronto Croatia.

Game time is 8 p.m.
