Missing eight cows, anyone?
Missing eight cows, anyone?

It’s not your usual entry in the lost and found, but it’s not as uncommon as one might think.

Found: Eight cows on the Ninth Line between Bloomington Road and Musselman’s Lake.

York Regional Police were dealing with the call Monday morning.

As of Canada Day, the owners of the cattle had not been located, but the cows were safe and sound at a nearby farm.

“Farmers tell us they can travel several miles walking through the night, so who knows were they came from,” Const. Mike Albright said.

“We do get calls like this.”

Police stayed on alert throughout the day, in case they were needed again for traffic control.

If you have information on the cows, e-mail Const. Albright at 1015@police.york.on.ca
