Can university legally sell observatory, lands?
Can university legally sell observatory, lands?

Seventy-two years ago, Jessie Dunlap donated land to be used for astronomy and a park.

Today, the David Dunlap Observatory is actively doing valuable research and the parkland is being enjoyed by the public.

Light is not an issue.  Obviously money is an issue for the University of Toronto.

Has anyone checked whether or not the university can legally sell?  If it doesn’t require its use, then gift it back.

We need to save the David Dunlap Observatory.
