Reminders of Markham’s rural roots remain strong in the community, as this tour demonstrates.

Country comes to the city every Saturday morning during the summer, so begin in Markham itself…
Markham Farmers’ Market
Located in the heart of Markham Village’s historic core, the Markham Farmers’ Market offers farm-fresh vegetables and fruits, preserves, and dairy products. It’s much more than just a market, however. Musicians, artisans, cooking and gardening demonstrations, and special events enliven the atmosphere each week and make it fun for the entire family. Finally, the Farmers’ Market plays host to the community garage sale on the last Saturday of every month.
Location: Main Street Markham and Robinson streets (just north of Highway 7 and off Markham Road)

Whittamore’s Farm Market and Winery
Located in Town of Markham, next to the attractive Rouge River Valley, Whittamore’s invites visitors to enjoy freshly picked fruits and vegetables in their farm market, and experience their full line of enchanting wines. They also sell irresistible pies and pastries in the bake shop, an assortment of preserves, Ontario honey, and locally produced maple syrup.

Forsythe Family Farms
At Forsythe Family Farms, you can enjoy great Ontario produce, pies, and preserves in the farm market. Children will love the Enchanted Forest attraction and wagon rides. In season, you’re invited to pick your own strawberries and pumpkins. The highlight of the year is the Harvest Festival in October.
