Dave Bunker carded a three-round 220 to finish seven-over par and claim third place at the recent Investor’s Group Ontario Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship at the Thornhill Golf and Country Club.

The Woodbridge resident and last year’s champion finished four shots behind winner Peter McCarthy of Toronto, who fired a three-over 216.

Bunker, however, earned a berth on Team Ontario along with McCarthy, Rob Cowan of Waterloo and Darren Shaw of Stoney Creek to take part in the upcoming Canadian Mid-Amateur Championships at Qualicum Beach, B.C.
