Shortstop Liam O'Brien hit a solo home run and an run-scoring single as the Newmarket Hawks trounced the Thornhill Reds 10-2 last night in Greater Toronto Baseball League action at McKnight Field.
The victory was the third straight for the Hawks, now 9-8, and boosted the club over the .500 mark for the first time this season. Newmarket sits third in the six-team league.
The Reds fell to 4-10 with the loss.
The Hawks host the Martingrove White Sox for a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon.
