Nestled in the St. Andrew's Shopping Centre, the Art of the Matter gallery exudes dignity and class. Founded in 1995, the gallery is beautifully decorated; the gallery provides services and counsel to many interior design firms. Bright, warm, and welcoming, the subtle and understated décor of the gallery is designed to draw attention to the many works of art on display.
With over 2000 square feet of exhibition space, Art of the Matter has room to house a variety of interesting and unique works of art. In addition to paintings and sculptures, the gallery features hand-blown glass, Japanese raku pottery, etchings and more. Art of the Matter not only exhibits the work of renowned Canadian and international artists, it also proudly displays the work of local talent as well. The gallery evidently makes a point of valuing unusual and innovative artwork, whether it comes from a reputable artist or a relative unknown. Valuing variety and broad price ranges, the gallery boasts something for all tastes and budgets.
Art of the Matter also offers custom framing services on premises. Each frame is designed to be a work of art in and of itself, and as such the gallery works with each client to meet their individual needs. The gallery has thousands of current moulding samples to choose from, including many unusual imported designs. From shadow boxes and mirrors to simple diploma framing, Art of the Matter is one of the region's premiere custom framing shops. The gallery also offers art and photo restoration, and best of all estimates are free of charge.
Art of the Matter is located in Units 39 and 40 of the St. Andrew's Shopping Centre, at 2 Orchard Heights Boulevard in Aurora. For more information, call (905)727-8228 or visit
