Attractions
A popular family destination since opening in 1993, Timber Creek Golf offers a great time for customers of all ages. A consistent winner in local Reader's Choice Awards, the 35-acre park is open all summer and autumn and is both wheelchair accessible and lit for evening play. Though best know for its elaborate, adventure-themed miniature golf courses, Timber Creek has much more to offer.
The park's large driving range, intended to minimize waiting and maximize playing, is extremely popular with local golfers of all ages and skill levels, as is the chipping green. Affordably priced golf lessons and golf camps, offered by a professional, are available at Timber Creek throughout the season. The seven batting cages, which feature hardball, softball, and slow-pitch machines, are an excellent place to take young baseball players, especially since team discounts are available.
The children's gemstone mining area, the jumping castle and the 20-foot slide are also sure to be a hit with younger children. The air-conditioned clubhouse, which features a snack bar, a spacious garden patio, and a games room, is a great alternative in case of rain.
Timber Creek's miniature golf courses, offering 37 challenging holes between the two of them, are easily the park's biggest draw. The first course is designed to simulate a logging camp adventure, with waterfalls, turning sawmills, and some very clever landscaping to challenge even the avid golfer.
The second course, featuring 19 holes of shipwreck-themed fun, offers a lighthouse, a boardwalk, a lookout tower and, of course, a shipwreck. Both courses, centred on Timber Creek's beautifully landscaped pond, are fun for golfers of all ages and challenging enough to keep customers coming back.
Timber Creek Golf Family Fun Centre is located at 12772 Ninth Line in Stouffville. For more information, call (905)642-5174 or visit www.timbercreekgolf.ca.
