For those who love fishing, Burd’s Family Fishing in Stouffville offers a promise sure to make you smile. A guarantee that you will catch a fish, so no worries about anyone going home disappointed.

Established in 1965, Burd’s boasts some of the best trout fishing in Ontario. The property spans six acres of picturesque countryside including two customized fishing ponds, measuring half an acre each. The ponds are stocked with about 4,000 trout averaging a weight of two pounds and 18 inches in length. Rainbow trout are between one and 15 pounds.

You are welcome to bring your own equipment but rod rentals are available in an array of sizes for children to adults. Bait (worms, roe and corn) is free and for those who enjoy fishing but not the mess, complimentary fish cleaning and packing on ice services are also provided.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch in the 2 acres plus of lush picnic expanse complete with tables and rain shelter.  A concession stand and barbecue cart are located on site.

No license is required to cast off on the property, saving you time and money.

Fishing is a wonderful pastime for all ages.  Whether you are a novice or enthusiast, Burd’s Family Fishing is the perfect getaway from long line ups, noise and high costs of day trips. Come reel in a big one today.

The site is open weekends from 9 am - 6 pm Easter to Victoria Day, daily from 9 am - 7 pm from Victoria Day through Labour Day, and weekends 9 am - 6 pm Labour Day to Thanksgiving.
